  Beachfront Hotel is a pub that had an unpleasant reputation in the past for being a cocktail of bogans and alcohol-fueled violence, and I tended to avoid where I could.
  
  That doesn't appear to the be the case anymore, they have made a significant effort in cleaning up, and targetting a more relaxed and classy segment of Darwin's population.
  
  Food has improved, and the introduction of American style smoked meats is now (in my opinion) their star attraction. Beer selection is average, though with about 10 draught options. Decent selection of liquors. They used to have a great (and cheap) cocktail selection for happy hour, but no more.
  
  Beachfront has recently started a whisky club, which looks promising. All in all, a vastly improved pub that I no longer feel reluctant to take out-of-towners to for a drink or two, or even dinner.
